Dues Collection

We will be collecting dues this week before classes, so please come 20 minutes early to class! Lines can get long and we want you guys to be able to get to class when it starts.

Dues paying members get access not only to our classes taught by professional instructors, but also to several other benefits:

  • we cover early and regular competition registration fees, and try to subsidize travel expenses
  • we offer a one-on-one mentorship program as part of our competition track (stay tuned for more details!)
  • you will have access to our weekly supervised practices in Dodge (if you have membership to Dodge)
You can mix and match whichever tracks you like! (Standard, Latin, or Social)
  • CUID (student or affiliate) - $80 for one track, $120 for two tracks, and $150 for three tracks (each price is per semester).
  • NON-CUID - $120 for one track, $150 for two tracks, and $180 for three tracks (each price is per semester).
Please bring cash if you can! If you cannot, we will also accept checks.

For those who want to explore a bit more, we are having one last week of trial classes for $10 per class!

Last note (for Columbia students only): In order to officially be a member of CU Ballroom, please fill out the form here for club sports. You can also access this by going to "Join a Club" under the Club Sports section at the Dodge Fitness Centers Website. Remember, this only applies if you are a Columbia student with a CUID!

Formation Team (For our dancers with some previous ballroom experience)

If you are interested in being part of our formation team this semester, please sign up here by Wednesday, 5pm. Yuriy Nartov, a professional instructor, will be choreographing and teaching our formation team, which we are really excited about - he will be teaching intermediate and advanced choreography Wednesdays at 10pm and 10:45pm respectively in Dodge Aerobics Room 3. Our formation team chair Andriana will also be leading practices on Fridays, tentatively 5-6pm. Feel free to reach out to her (am4044@barnard.edu) if you have any questions!

As always, if you have any questions you can talk to any board member or email cuballroom@gmail.com. Additionally, if you know anyone who would like to be added to our listserv, they can add themselves here.

Have a great week!
