Click here for more important announcements and updates! The Big Apple Dancesport Challenge 2011 will be will be a 1.5 day event held on December 3rd and 4th, 2011. We are proud to announce that Andrej Skufca and Melinda Torokgyorgy will be performing at BADC 2011. Scholarships! Champ Standard & Latin: $300 (1st), $200 (2nd), $100 (3rd) Pre-Champ Standard & Latin: $150 (1st), $100 (2nd), $50 (3rd) (Prechamp & Champ Latin and Standard scholarships are made possible by the generous donations of Mr. Andrew Philips, Stanley Mc Calla and the Columbia Ballroom Dance Club!) Open Smooth: $150 (1st), $100 (2nd), $50 (3rd) (thanks to the generous donation of Mayo Alanen and Michelle Officer!) Dancespire is our shoe vendor this year and are providing certificates for winners! IDB will also be providing certificates for winners. We look forward to seeing everyone at BADC 2011!! November 30, 2011 Andrej and Melinda will be teaching private lessons at Basic Ballroom NY on December 1st, 2nd, and possibly also the 3rd at $170/45 min. Please contact Paul Richardson at 713-320-2119 to book! Early registration check-in on 12/2 from 6-8pm for number pick-up and payment at Lerner Hall ramps. Team Captains!, please email cbw2104@gmail.com if you need group tickets for the performance (you will bring payment to the competition). Performance tickets are running out fast! Get them quick! Tickets are will call (bring student ID) and will be available for pick up 12-8pm at the CU Arts booth at the main lobby up the ramps of Lerner Hall. VIP ticketholders: VIP dinner is at 6:30pm in Lerner Hall Room C555 VIP tickets: You are seated in the VIP section and have a chance to meet the performers and receive signed postcards! November 28, 2011 The performance couple will be offering private lessons while visiting, more details to come! November 9, 2011 Scholarships are now available for the Open Smooth Event! This is made possible thanks to the generous donation of Mayo Alanen and Michelle Officer! The officials and judges page has been updated. The schedule has also been changed to a more general one while we are working on coming up with a more finalized and detailed one. November 3, 2011 Housing Form is now live! If you need housing, please fill out the housing form by November 19, 2011! October 17,2011 Showcase tickets are available for purchase here. October 14,2011 Registration opens October 15! We are also happy to annouce that the extremely talented Ryan Kenner will be returning as our official photographer! October 6,2011 We are still finalizing our judging panel, scholarships, and fun events, and will hopefully be implementing some new exciting elements as well so stay tuned!!
